The little booklet is elaborately designed illustrated by Sigismunds Vidbergs (1890-1970).
While in St-Petersburg, Sigismunds Vidbergs was influenced by the Russian magazines "Mir iskusstva" and "Satirikon" in general, but especially by the Russian graphic artist Sergey Chekhonin. In the early stagesof the artist's work, the strong influence of the English graphic artist Aubrey Beardsley can be felt. S. Vidbergs participated in the exhibitions of the "Independent Artists Unit", "Green Crow", "Riga Artists Group". He has been described as one of the finest graphic artists in Latvia during the first half of the 20th century.
