Jānis Plase (1892-1929) latviešu mākslinieks un grafiķis. Mākslinieku biedrības “Zaļā vārna” dibinātājs un biedrs.
Kristaps Eliass (1886-1963), art historian, social and political worker, writer and publicist. Participant of revolutionary events in Latvia. Member of the Saeima 1-4. Director of the State Museum of Latvian and Russian Art from 1945 - 1946. Brother of the painter Gederts Eliass.
Jānis Plase (1892-1929) was a prominent member and founder of Zala Varna (Green Crow) association.
He took part in exhibitions staged by the Riga Association of Graphic Artists, drew cartoons for the magazine Hello, and were part of the Green Crow association of artists and litterateurs.
Green Crow had no clear declarations about art. The slogan was “Bring more life into art,” but that was implemented rather practically through art exhibitions, the publication of new books and the publication of the organisation’s magazine.
